Penfield —
The Lupus Foundation of Genesee Valley has developed a new outreach program to address issues related to lupus.
It is open to patients and their families, friends, medical professionals and others with the purpose of teaching about how to live with lupus, network with other patients, share resources and encourage and help one another.
"Movement, Exercise and the Mind-Body Connection," the second of six scheduled events, will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Penfield Public Library Community Room, at 1985 Baird Road, in Penfield.
On March 10, the next program, "What's Up With Alternative Therapies? Never Do It Alone," will provide information about alternative therapies and working with your treatment team.
The Lupus Foundation serves Monroe County and all surrounding counties. It is located at 500 Helendale Road, in Rochester. For more information, call 585-288-2910.
