T.J. Brennan scored in the sixth round of a shootout against Oklahoma City and lifted the Rochester Americans to a 4-3 win over the Barons on Wednesday, Dec. 28 in an American Hockey League showdown.
The Amerks have won four consecutive games, and are within a point of the Toronto Marlies for first place in the North Division.
Brennan also scored a goal in the opening period, while Jacob Lagace stuck for two goals in the thrilling win.
Phil Varone and Marcus Foligno tallied two assists apiece, and goalie David Leggio came up with 22 saves. He stopped four of Oklahoma City's six attempts in the shootout.

Brennan gave Rochester a 1-0 lead when he scored seven minutes into the opening period as he took a shot from the blue line and notched his sixth goal of the season.
The Barons tied the game at 1-1 later in the period, and went in front 2-1 in the second period.
Lagace scored off of a rebound to tie the game at 2-2 with 1:59 remaining in the second.
Rochester trailed 3-2 in the third, and managed to avoid falling behind by more than a goal as it killed off a five-minute power play.
The stellar defensive effort provided the Amerks with a chance to tie the game. Lagace did just that when he punched the puck into the net for his ninth goal of the season.
The Amerks are back in action today, Dec. 30 when they take on the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:35 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena. It will be the final game of 2011 for the Amerks.
