The East Bloomfield/Holcomb Fire Department will be hosting a Chicken BBQ on Saturday, May 19, from 4-6 p.m. at Veteran's Park.

The Ridge Road Fire District in Greece will be hosting a Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, May 23, from 1-4 p.m. at the fire station, 1299 Long Pond Road.
The Wyoming County Fire Chief's Association's annual Steak Roast and Equipment Show will be June 5, at the Strykersville Firemen's Grounds, 594 Minkel Road, Strykersville. Vendor exhibits will open at 3 p.m., with dinner being served from 5-8 p.m.. Dinner tickets are $30 and are available by calling (585) 786-2608.
The Lancaster County Firefighter's Assocation's Fire Expo 2012, will be May 18, 19 and 20 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.
The Rochester Fire Department has recently placed in service several new engines. The pumpers built by Rosenbauer, feature a 1250 gallon per minute pump and a 500 gallon water tank. These units have been assigned to Engine 2 on North Clinton Avenue, Engine 7 on Genesee Street and Engine 9 on North Goodman Street.
The Pittsford Fire Department recently placed in service a new Pierce PUC pumper with a 1500 gallon per minute pump, 500 gallon water tank and a 30 gallon foam cell.

OPEN BURNING BAN STARTS MARCH 16
Starting March 16, The New York State Department of Enviromental Consevation has an open burning ban in effect between the dates of March 16th and May 15th. That means no outdoor burning. However, firefighters say its dry enough right now to discourage any burning.

The Rochester St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 12:30 p.m. .

NEW HEAVY RESCUE FOR ROCHESTER FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Rochester Fire Department has taken delivery of a new Rosenbauer heavy rescue truck on a Spartan chassis.
CANANDAIGUA FIREFIGHTERS TO HOST BLOOD DRIVE
The Canandaigua Fire Department will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, February 23, 1 - 7 p.m. and February 24, 12:30 - 6:30 p.m. at C.F.D. Station 1, 335 South Main Street.
BENEFIT FOR ENDICOTT FIREFIGHTER UNDERGOING CANCER TREATMENT AT STRONG
There will be a fundraiser for Endicott Firefighter Dana Stockton, who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer-granulocytic sarcoma. He will be receiving treatment at Strong Memorial Hospital. A benefit will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2-6 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Arena, 2 Hawley Street, Binghamton. Tickets are $15 for individuals; students $5; family $25. Price includes beer, wine, soda, pizza and cookies. A cash bar will also be available. The Conesus Volunteer Fire Department in Livingston County recently placed in service a Ford F-350 utility vehicle outfitted by Churchville Fire Equipment. The unit features two different skid mounted configurations for rescue and brush fires. The brush fire set up features a 150 gallon per minute pump,250 gallon water tank as well as a 10 gallon foam tank. The rescue set up features Res Q Tec extrication tools.
