WXXI TV will air “Safe Haven,” which explores the story of Holocaust refugees honored at Safe Haven Holocaust Refugee Shelter Museum in Oswego, at 8 p.m. April 27.

The sheltering of 986 Jewish refugees, mostly from Yugoslavia, in 1944-46 was the result of an agreement between Prime Minister Winston Churchill and President Franklin Roosevelt.

A motorcoach will leave Canandaigua on May 17 to tour the museum at Fort Ontario. Visitors will view stories, photographs and momentoes collected from the refugees.
