The 48-year-old Sodus man was arrested early Sunday after he was stopped for a taillight violation and allegedly found to be drunk.

Wayne County sheriff’s officers arrested a 48-year-old Sodus man early Sunday after he was stopped for a taillight violation and allegedly found to be drunk.

Barry Wheaton, of Maple Avenue, was charged with felony DWI because of a previous DWI conviction, the Sheriff’s Office reported. His blood-alcohol content at the time of arrest was .12 percent, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

Wheaton was stopped on Route 104 and remanded to the Wayne County Jail after his arrest.
