Hochstein School of Music and Dance, 50 N. Plymouth Ave., Rochester will hold its percussion ensemble concert at 7:30 p.m. March 15 and its Voices of Spring recital at 6:30 p.m. March 16 in its Performance Hall.
Hochstein Percussion Ensemble, directed by Jim Tiller, will perform a varied program including “Lost Souls” by Nathan Daughtrey, “Taiko” by Scott Harding and a theater and percussion work played with coffee cups.
Hochstein Singers and Youth Singers, directed by Maryellen Giese, and the Hochstein Little Singers, directed by Grace Adams, will perform with Sweden Senior Singers, a 60-member chorus from the Brockport area also directed by Giese. The program includes “Mairi’s Wedding,” “On Children” with words by Kahlil Gibran and music by Ysaye Barnwell of Sweet Honey in the Rock, “Any Dream Will Do” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Rockin’ Robin.”
