Tickets are now available to see Keir Dullea, who played astronaut Dave Bowman in Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey,” as he introduces discusses the film at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19, 2017, in George Eastman Museum’s Dryden Theater, 900 East Ave., Rochester.
The museum will present its recently acquired 35mm print of the roadshow version of Kubrick’s film, complete with music meant to be heard before the film’s beginning, during the intermission and at the end.
Dullea will introduce the film, share stories and insights about its making and sell and sign photographs.
Tickets cost $25.
The museum was able to purchase new 35mm prints of four Kubrick films: “2001: A Space Odyssey,” “A Clockwork Orange,” “Barry Lyndon” and “The Shining.” These films will be screened in 2017.
