Fire officials tell us the fire started just after 2 a.m. Thursday morning on Frost Avenue. The fire chief says one adult and one child were inside the two apartment home at the time but were able to make it out safely. They do not know if anyone was living in the other apartment.

Nearly 50 firefighters were called to battle a fire on Rochester’s southwest side.

Investigators tell us the fire started on the bottom floor and worked its way up to the roof. A cause is still under investigation, but it is not believed to be suspicious.
