Penfield Public Library announces March 12 to March 18 program schedule

A variety of activities will be offered in March by the Penfield Public Library, located at 1985 Baird Road.
From 7-8:30 p.m. March 13, there will be a discussion regarding good perennials for Rochester gardens, led by master gardener Laurie Burtner. Registration begins Tuesday, Feb. 28.
The film "Away from Her" will be shown from 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 15. The movie is about a couple coming to terms with Alzheimer's disease. Registration begins March 1.
A book discussion from 7-9 p.m. regarding the book "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln" by Doris Kearns Goodwin will be held March 15.
People of all ages can come out from 3-4:30 p.m. March 18 for a dance performance by Elizabeth B. Clark. Registration for the event begins March 2.
Students in grades six through 12 can come out for a game design presentation from 3:30-5 p.m. March 13, led by Chris Pallace. Register for this event by Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Children ages 3-7 can come out from 7-7:30 p.m. March 14 for a bedtime story time activity featuring stories, songs and games. Pajamas can be worn, and stuffed animals are welcome. Registration begins Feb. 29.
Children of all ages can come out from 10:30-11:30 a.m. March 16 for an Irish experience led by Cathy McGrath, who will entertain with Irish songs, stories, dances and games. Registration begins March 2.
A Lego Lab will be offered for children in first through fifth grades at 3:15 p.m. March 16. All Legos will be provided. Registration begins March 2.
