Zvi Zeitlin will perform a "Farewell Faculty Recital" at 3 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Eastman School of Music's Kilbourn Hall, located at 26 Gibbs St., in Rochester.
Zeitlin will perform the recital on the eve of his 90th birthday. He will be joined by fellow Eastman teacher Barry Snyder on piano and a quartet of students. He is retiring from Eastman after 45 years of teaching at the school.
The program will feature music by Schubert, including "Sonata in A Major."
Zeitlin's former students include Jeff Thayer, concertmaster for the San Diego Symphony, and Catherine Van Hoesen, who has played in the first violin section of the San Francisco Symphony for 30 years.
Tickets cost $10.
