Phil and Anastasia Broikos, of Penfield, have become a local household name as they continue to market their unique anise-flavored soda, Ouzon.
They recently became the first company in Rochester to get enough votes from Facebook users to qualify to apply for a $250,000 grant from Mission: Small Business, sponsored by Chase and Living Social.
Now, the company, Opa! Originals has been chosen to take part in Rochester Institute of Technology’s (RIT’s) Saunders College of Business Executive MBA (EMBA) program.
Known as the Capstone Project, the 24-week venture offers the consulting services of a team of talented managers who combine their business experience with the lessons learned during their EMBA studies.
As Phil said, “We expect our partnership with Capstone will provide us with the right strategy to propel the company forward.”
