Scribner Road Elementary School is hosting “McCare Night” from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Penfield McDonald’s located at the intersection of routes 250 and 441.
“McCare Night” is a unique school-community fundraising event hosted by Scribner Road school staff and families to raise funds and collect school supplies for Scribner’s sister school, Rochester City School #33. Scribner staff members will be preparing food and manning the counters during this special event.
Families who stop in for dinner are asked to bring a donation of gently used backpacks and/or school supplies. There will be a raffle of items donated by McDonald’s and area businesses. In addition, McDonald’s will be donating a percentage of the income from sales made during the evening. All proceeds from the evening's events will be presented to School #33.
There will be plenty of excitement at this special event, with the raffle, face painting, and fun and food for all. This is the fourth consecutive year Scribner Road School and McDonald’s have hosted the event.
