Penfield Public Library events for July 5-6

The Penfield Public Library, 1985 Baird Road, Penfield, has announced its events for July 5 and 6.

Stuffed Animal Library Sleepover Thursday, July 5 from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Ages three to eight, accompanied by an adult. Children can bring a favorite stuffed animal to hear stories and songs about toys and then tuck them in for a sleepover at the library. The next day, Friday, July 6 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., children come back to pick up their animals and a souvenir of their animal’s experience. Registration begins Thursday, June 21.

 

“Night Shivers” Presented by the Genesee Storytellers, July 5 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Entering grade six to adult. The Genesee Storytellers will present urban legends and some of the scariest stories from around the world. Registration begins Thursday, June 21.

 

Library Lego Lab, Friday, July 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. 

For children entering grades one through six. The library will provide all the Legos and creations will be photographed, then dismantled for the next Lego Lab. Registration begins Friday, June 22 for Penfield town or school district residents; Friday, June 29 for all others.

 

Pillowcase Decorating, Friday, July 6 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

For children entering grades one through six. Participants are invited to bring one, pre-washed standard plain white pillowcase that needs to be creatively decorated. The library will provide everything else. Registration begins Friday, June 22 for Penfield town or school district residents; Friday, June 29 for all others.
