The Penfield Public Library, 1985 Baird Road, Penfield, will host the following events Jan. 14-20.

Celebrating and Reflecting on the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Jan. 16. MCC History Professor Njeru Murage will facilitate a community-wide discussion around the theme of “Penfield’s Recollections of the Civil Rights Era.” Registration begins Jan. 2.

Book Discussion, 7 to 9 p.m., Jan. 17. “Outliers: The Story of Success” by Malcolm Gladwell will be discussed. No registration required.

Magic Monday, 3:30 to 5 p.m., Jan. 14, for children grades 6-12. Free refreshments and a Booster Pack raffle will take place. No registration is required.

Teen Tuesday: Movie Matinee, 2:45 to 4:30 p.m., Jan. 15. The film “Frankenweenie” will be screen, rated PG. No registration required.

Dance Like Snowflakes, 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., Jan. 15, for children ages 2-5 accompanied by an adult. Registration begins Jan. 4.
