Spring awakening!
Some beautiful flowers decided to pop up in the back yard this weekend!
Spring!
YES! -- after what seemed like an eternity of grey, depressing weather we get some beautiful blue skies :) This weekend should be pretty nice with temperatures hovering around the 50's.

Looking for something to do on the cheaps this weekend? Look no further than SUNY Geneseo's Musical Theatre Club! They are having shows tonight (Thursday) through Saturday night at 8PM in Alice Austin Theatre (on campus). The best part is it is FREE!!! Tickets will be handed out at 6:00PM each night outside the doors so get there before they run out!
Valley
Turbulent skies over the Genesee valley make for a very cool photo --- however I am a little tired of the cold weather! All those big clouds meant a LOT of lake effect snow. Can Spring come a little faster?! I hope some other people feel the same way :)

So much for Punxsutawney Phil's prediction of an early Spring! How much snow did you get?
Hurricane Sandy rolled through our region last night bringing heavy rain and lots of wind to go with it. Geneseo escaped major damage but others around the state were not so lucky. Thoughts go out to the victims along the east coast.

I know it's Wednesday, but did everyone have a good holiday weekend? I just got back from a little excursion in the Adirondacks and have to say I wish I were back in the mountains. Nothing can beat the pristine beauty of the high peaks area in the fall. This photo is of Chapel Pond -- about a half hour outside of Lake Placid, NY. Enjoy!

Last night I was treated to a very special sunset. I had to drive through a pretty awful thunderstorm to find it, but I think it was well worth it! Above: A look to the West you can see the setting sun and behind me, in the East, a rainbow!
