  • A local doctor is under arrest in connection with the investigation at a home in the Park Avenue neighborhood.
Dr. William Lewek, a psychiatrist, will be arraigned Friday morning on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. He was charged Thursday night after human remains of Matthew Straton, a missing Rochester man, were found in the backyard of his Rowley Street home.
According to the criminal compliant, officers found 17 small bags of crack cocaine stuffed into the toe of a sneaker in Lewek's bedroom. The complaint also alleges Lewek moved Straton's body from the third-floor bedroom of the Rowley Street home to the backyard. The paperwork says Lewek concealed his body by covering it with dirt, grass, debris and a patio chair.
